Photo of the Day: The Melville Cat Returns

I was away from the Lucky 5 Star for most of November. I think the Melville Cat was annoyed by my absence. He hardly gave me the time of day for the first week I was back.

This week he has forgiven me and returned to his usual twice-daily visits.

Smokey-Squeak interrupted my attempt to photograph a snail in my parsley pot this morning. I didn’t get a single decent shot of the snail, even though I took 100. I shot one frame of the cat and came away with a winner.

Welcome back, my squeaky, furry friend. I missed you.

I’m finding it hard to feel positive about life at the moment. But on Saturday Thorsten and I got the chance to visit Indwe Park, an indigenous garden and sculpture park in Braamfontein, and I knew I had my topic for today.
